The Dove Heart Cuff is handcrafted with two birds in solid sterling silver, their wings and the open wire band worked in 14k gold plated brass. The two doves meet at the front and carry a silver heart between their beaks, set with a ruby and a white diamond. The band is rigid and open at the back so it slides over the wrist.
The dove is the bird that returns, sent out across the water and coming back to the place it was released from, which is why it has long stood for safe passage home, for faithful love, and for what is not lost. Two of them carrying a single heart is love held between two rather than kept by one. Ruby is the stone of the heart and of vitality, worn for courage and devotion, and the white diamond set beside it is the point of clarity and endurance that does not wear away.
J Dauphin was founded in 2006 by the Swedish French designer Johanna Dauphin. She built her foundation as a designer at Fendi and Tod's in Italy, then worked across Paris, New York, and Los Angeles, and her collections have been carried by luxury department stores worldwide. She has made custom pieces for musicians and royalty such as Keith Richards, Def Leppard, Brandi Carlile, Uma Thurman and more. Every piece is made entirely by hand using old school artisanal methods. The work draws on Victorian iconography and ancient symbols and treats jewelry as a modern talisman, contemporary relic, spiritual protection, alignment and healing.
