The Double Chain Cuff is a rigid open band in 14k gold plated brass formed as two parallel chains, covered in light blue transparent enamel. A ruby cross hangs from the end of the cuff. The band is open at the back and slides onto the wrist.
The cross stands for faith and protection. The ruby set into it carries the colour of the blood and of vital force.
J Dauphin was founded in 2006 by the Swedish French designer Johanna Dauphin. She built her foundation as a designer at Fendi and Tod's in Italy, then worked across Paris, New York, and Los Angeles, and her collections have been carried by luxury department stores worldwide. She has made custom pieces for musicians and royalty such as Keith Richards, Def Leppard, Brandi Carlile, Uma Thurman and more. Every piece is made entirely by hand using old school artisanal methods. The work draws on Victorian iconography and ancient symbols and treats jewelry as a modern talisman, contemporary relic, spiritual protection and alignment and healing.
