The Star Sphere Twisted Bangle is handcrafted in 14k gold plated brass and finished with hand painted midnight blue glitter enamel. The band is worked as a twisted braided rope and carries a single dangling sphere charm patterned with stars, set with black diamonds. It is a rigid bangle that slides over the hand onto the wrist.
The large sphere is the cosmos, and the black diamonds are the stars across the midnight sky. Their darkness is not absence but the concealment of the light already present, held back until it is found, awaiting for us finding the work assigned to us.
J Dauphin was founded in 2006 by the Swedish French designer Johanna Dauphin. She built her foundation as a designer at Fendi and Tod's in Italy, then worked across Paris, New York, and Los Angeles, and her collections have been carried by luxury department stores worldwide. She has made custom pieces for musicians and royalty such as Keith Richards, Def Leppard, Brandi Carlile, Uma Thurman and more. Every piece is made entirely by hand using old school artisanal methods. The work draws on Victorian iconography and ancient symbols and treats jewelry as a modern talisman, contemporary relic, spiritual protection, alignment and healing.
