Aquamarine pendant necklace in gold plated silver, a pear shaped aquamarine cabochon framed all around with black diamonds, hung from a fine gold plated silver chain worked with black enamel bar stations, closing at 28 inches, 71 cm.
Aquamarine is the stone of the sea, carried for calm, clear judgment, and safe passage. The black diamonds ringing it stand for strength and protection, the guard set around the clear stone at the centre.
J Dauphin was founded in 2006 by Swedish French designer Johanna Dauphin, who previously worked at Fendi and Tod's in Italy. J Dauphin has had creative offices in Paris, New York, and Los Angeles. Her jewelry, accessories, and celebrated repurposed vintage jackets are all made by artisanal methods, often incorporating ancient symbols, and she treats jewelry as modern talismans for empowerment, protection, alignment, and healing.
