The Star Orb Ring features two matching black enamel spheres facing each other on an open rigid band in 14k gold plated brass, each globe engraved with star constellations and inlaid with natural black diamonds. The open design adjusts gently to fit the finger.
The two spheres represent the duality of cosmic forces and the Hermetic principle of balance. The stars serve as a symbolic map for guidance and spiritual illumination. Black diamonds carry grounding, protection, and inner strength. Black enamel references the Victorian memento mori tradition, marking the passage of time and cosmic order.
J Dauphin was founded in 2006 by the Swedish French designer Johanna Dauphin. She built her foundation as a designer at Fendi and Tod's in Italy, then worked across Paris, New York, and Los Angeles, and her collections have been carried by luxury department stores worldwide. She has made custom pieces for musicians and royalty such as Keith Richards, Def Leppard, Brandi Carlile, Uma Thurman and more. Every piece is made entirely by hand using old school artisanal methods. The work draws on Victorian iconography and ancient symbols and treats jewelry as a modern talisman, contemporary relic, spiritual protection and alignment and healing.
