The Light Cuff is a wide rigid open cuff in 14k gold plated brass with a polished domed face and raised borders. The word LIGHT runs across the front in raised letters, each one pavé set with single cut white diamonds against the plain gold. The band is open at the back and slides onto the wrist. It is also made in silver with the word TRUTH set in black diamonds.
Light is the first thing called into being and the oldest figure for the divine, knowledge, and revelation, the source from which everything else follows. Carried as a word across the wrist it reads as both a statement and a charge. The single cut white diamonds spell it in points of clear brightness, the letters themselves made of light caught in the gold.
J Dauphin was founded in 2006 by the Swedish French designer Johanna Dauphin. She built her foundation as a designer at Fendi and Tod's in Italy, then worked across Paris, New York, and Los Angeles, and her collections have been carried by luxury department stores worldwide. She has made custom pieces for musicians and royalty such as Keith Richards, Def Leppard, Brandi Carlile, Uma Thurman and more. Every piece is made entirely by hand using old school artisanal methods. The work draws on Victorian iconography and ancient symbols and treats jewelry as a modern talisman, contemporary relic, spiritual protection and alignment and healing.
