The Emerald Clover Cuff is a rigid open band in 14k gold plated finished with black enamel along its length. At the front, set off to one side, a clover is formed from three emeralds, a pear cut, a square cut, and an oval, each in its own gold setting around a small stem. The band is open at the back and slides onto the wrist.
The clover is an old emblem of luck and protection, its three leaves long read as a figure of the threefold, the trinity of mind, body, and spirit carried close to the skin.
J Dauphin was founded in 2006 by the Swedish French designer Johanna Dauphin. She built her foundation as a designer at Fendi and Tod's in Italy, then worked across Paris, New York, and Los Angeles, and her collections have been carried by luxury department stores worldwide. She has made custom pieces for musicians and royalty such as Keith Richards, Def Leppard, Brandi Carlile, Uma Thurman and more. Every piece is made entirely by hand using old school artisanal methods. The work draws on Victorian iconography and ancient symbols and treats jewelry as a modern talisman, contemporary relic, spiritual protection and alignment and healing.
