The As Above So Below Bangle is a thin round bangle in 14k gold plated brass finished in blue enamel, the Hermetic axiom As above so below, as within so without lettered in gold around the band. At the front an onyx cabochon is cut as a heart and pierced with a single white diamond.
The bangle carries the Hermetic axiom As above so below, as within so without, the principle that the upper worlds are mirrored in the lower and the inner in the outer. In Kabbalah the same idea runs through the Tree of Life, the Sefirot flowing from Keter at the crown to Malchut at the ground, the celestial brought down into the earthly. The onyx heart is associated with grounding and protection, and the diamond piercing it with light.
J Dauphin was founded in 2006 by the Swedish French designer Johanna Dauphin. She built her foundation as a designer at Fendi and Tod's in Italy, then worked across Paris, New York, and Los Angeles, and her collections have been carried by luxury department stores worldwide. She has made custom pieces for musicians and royalty such as Keith Richards, Def Leppard, Brandi Carlile, Uma Thurman and more. Every piece is made entirely by hand using old school artisanal methods. The work draws on Victorian iconography and ancient symbols and treats jewelry as a modern talisman, contemporary relic, spiritual protection and alignment and healing.
