This Sculptural Chain Cuff Bracelet is handcrafted in gold plated brass. The cuff is formed as a solid Cuban link curb chain, with alternating links filled in black enamel and aquamarines set into the face of the links along the top of the band. It is an open cuff, and it stacks well with other cuffs and chain bracelets.
Aquamarine is the stone of the sea, worn for safe passage and carried by sailors and travelers as protection on the water. It is the stone of calm and clear speech, said to steady the mind and keep the wearer even in difficult crossings.
J Dauphin was founded in 2006 by the Swedish French designer Johanna Dauphin. She built her foundation as a designer at Fendi and Tod's in Italy, then worked across Paris, New York, and Los Angeles, and her collections have been carried by luxury department stores worldwide. She has made custom pieces for musicians and royalty such as Keith Richards, Def Leppard, Brandi Carlile, Uma Thurman and more. Every piece is made entirely by hand using old school artisanal methods. The work draws on Victorian iconography and ancient symbols and treats jewelry as a modern talisman, contemporary relic, spiritual protection, alignment and healing.
