Snake Serpent Necklace Tanzanite Ruby Silver
Snake Necklace Tanzanite Ruby Serpent Silver Gold Plated Chain Choker
Designer: J DAUPHIN
Style: Indigo Child
The Snake Necklace, named Indigos, centers on a sterling silver serpent that curves in an S along the front, the body worked with engraved scale detail and set with tanzanites and rubies. It hangs from a gold filled chain that closes with a clasp and measures 16 inches, 41 cm, sitting at the collarbone.
The serpent stands for transformation, hidden knowledge, and the cycle of death and rebirth, the snake that sheds its skin to renew itself. The tanzanites set into the body carry a deep violet blue, associated with insight and clear sight, and the rubies are associated with vitality and courage.
J Dauphin was founded in 2006 by the Swedish French designer Johanna Dauphin. She built her foundation as a designer at Fendi and Tod's in Italy, then worked across Paris, New York, and Los Angeles, and her collections have been carried by luxury department stores worldwide. She has made custom pieces for musicians and royalty such as Keith Richards, Def Leppard, Brandi Carlile, Uma Thurman and more. Every piece is made entirely by hand using old school artisanal methods. The work draws on Victorian iconography and ancient symbols and treats jewelry as a modern talisman, contemporary relic, spiritual protection and alignment and healing.
