Swedish / French Johanna Dauphin grew up in Sweden but started her career as a Designer in Italy. After she finished her studies at IED Institute Europe di Design in Italy she started her work for the Tod's Group. In 2004 She was hired by the luxury group LVMH to work for FENDI to work as a product manager for the accessories. In 2006 She launched her own brand J DAUPHIN offering exclusive leather accessories made in Paris. She soon expanded into Ready to Wear and Jewelry but always keeping the accessories at the core. 

J Dauphin clients includes the prestigious boutiques and department stores Bergdorf Goodman, Harvey Nichols, H Lorenzo, Lane Crawford, Matches, Bon Marche, Browns, United Arrow and Isetan. Featured in numerous magazines like W magazine, Vogue UK, Vogue Japan, Harpers Bazaar, Elle France, Marie Clair US and worn by celebrities as Uma Thurman, Rooney Mara, Cindy Crawford, Taylor Tomasi Hill, Erin Wasson, Frida Gianini and Chloe Sevigny.

After a horse back fall Johanna breaks her back and put her brand on hold for several years.

J Dauphin was relaunched in 2020 keeping on to the tradition of craftsmanship and exclusivity offering unique jackets of repurposed Vintage and military.
