The Cupid Heart Chain Cuff is a rigid open band in 14k gold plated brass formed as two parallel cable chains, with a cupid heart charm hanging from the end of the cuff, the heart encrusted with rubies and pierced by an arrow set with white diamonds. The band is open at the back and slides onto the wrist.
The heart pierced by cupid's arrow is the traditional symbol of love and desire. Ruby is the stone of the heart and the blood, worn for courage and devotion, and white diamond stands for clarity.
J Dauphin was founded in 2006 by the Swedish French designer Johanna Dauphin. She built her foundation as a designer at Fendi and Tod's in Italy, then worked across Paris, New York, and Los Angeles. A multiple award winning designer highly recognised as an accessory and jewelry designer, her work has been featured in Vogue, W Magazine, Marie Claire, Harper's Bazaar, and Elle across numerous countries, and carried by the world's most prestigious luxury stores including Lane Crawford, Bergdorf Goodman, H Lorenzo, United Arrows, Isetan, Le Bon Marché, Matches, and Harvey Nichols. She has made custom pieces for musicians and royalty such as Keith Richards, Def Leppard, Brandi Carlile, Uma Thurman and more. Every piece is made entirely by hand using old school artisanal methods. The work draws on Victorian iconography and ancient symbols and treats jewelry as a modern talisman, contemporary relic, spiritual protection, alignment and healing.
