The Snake Ring, named Parfois, centers on a step cut emerald bezel set across the top of the band, with a serpent worked into each shoulder so two snakes meet at the stone. It is handcrafted in gold plated silver with engraved scale detail along the band.
The serpent stands for transformation, hidden knowledge, and the cycle of death and rebirth, the snake that sheds its skin to renew itself. The emerald at the center is associated with renewal and sight.
J Dauphin was founded in 2006 by Swedish French designer Johanna Dauphin, who trained at Fendi and Tod's in Italy before working across Paris, New York, and Los Angeles. Her collections are carried by luxury department stores worldwide, with custom pieces made for musicians and royalty including Keith Richards, Def Leppard, Brandi Carlile, and Uma Thurman. Each piece is made entirely by hand in the old artisanal methods, drawing on Victorian iconography and ancient symbols, and treats jewelry as a modern talisman and contemporary relic for protection, healing, and alignment.
