The Fleur de Lis Cuff is a rigid open band in 14k gold plated brass with black enamel The band opens at the front, where each end terminates in a fleur de lis set with white diamonds. It slides onto the wrist from the side.
The fleur de lis is an old emblem of divine wisdom and of kingship, the stylized lily read as a bridge between the celestial and the earthly. Its threefold form carries the sacred trinities found across mystical traditions, in Kabbalah the upper sefirot of Chokhmah, Binah, and Keter, the divine intellect flowing into creation, and in Hermetic and alchemical thought the union of spirit, soul, and body. Rooted in the lily it holds purity, initiation, and ascent, the soul's unfolding and the merging of opposites, mercy and judgment, heaven and earth. The white diamonds set into each lily mark these points with clear light. The black enamel grounds the band against the brightness of the stones.
J Dauphin was founded in 2006 by the Swedish French designer Johanna Dauphin. She built her foundation as a designer at Fendi and Tod's in Italy, then worked across Paris, New York, and Los Angeles, and her collections have been carried by luxury department stores worldwide. She has made custom pieces for musicians and royalty such as Keith Richards, Def Leppard, Brandi Carlile, Uma Thurman and more. Every piece is made entirely by hand using old school artisanal methods. The work draws on Victorian iconography and ancient symbols and treats jewelry as a modern talisman, contemporary relic, spiritual protection and alignment and healing.
