The Five Star Charm Choker is handcrafted in 14k gold plated brass. The chunky chain alternates round rings with long oval links and carries five star charms finished in black enamel across the front. The necklace closes with a lobster clasp and measures 17 inches, 44 cm.
The star is one of the oldest celestial figures, found across ancient and Victorian ornament as a sign of guidance, fate, and the order of the heavens. Set as a row of five along the chain they read as a small map of the night sky, the field long tied to navigation and to orientation by the stars.
J Dauphin was founded in 2006 by the Swedish French designer Johanna Dauphin. She built her foundation as a designer at Fendi and Tod's in Italy, then worked across Paris, New York, and Los Angeles, and her collections have been carried by luxury department stores worldwide. She has made custom pieces for Keith Richards, Def Leppard, Brandi Carlile, Courtney Cox, and Uma Thurman. Every piece is made entirely by hand using old school artisanal methods. The work draws on Victorian iconography and ancient symbols and treats jewelry as spiritual armour, modern talisman, and contemporary relic, made for protection, healing, and spiritual alignment.
